WBJEE Counselling 2024 (July 10): Important Dates, Seat Allotment, and Registration Process

The WBJEEB will start the registration and choice filling for WBJEE 2024 counseling on July 10. Students who have successfully passed the WBJEE exam 2024 are qualified to join the counseling process. The registration link for WBJEE counseling will be provided on the official website wbjeeb.nic.in. The seat allotment result for round 1 of WBJEE 2024 will be disclosed on July 19. The counseling is accessible to candidates who have passed WBJEE 2024 or JEE Main 2024.

WBJEEB will initiate the WBJEE 2024 counselling registration and choice filling on July 10. The students who have passed the WBJEE exam 2024 are eligible to take part in the counseling procedure. The registration link for WBJEE counselling will be updated by the authority on the website wbjeeb.nic.in. The counseling process consists of registration, choice submission, seat allocation, college reporting, and various other tasks. The seat allotment result for round 1 of WBJEE 2024 will be declared on July 19.

Seats will be assigned to candidates according to their preferences made during the WBJEE choice filling. The WBJEE counselling is open to candidates who have qualified in  WBJEE 2024 or JEE Main 2024. The list of participating institutes and seat matrix for WBJEE will be released on official website by the authority. The WBJEE 2024 was held on April 28, 2024.

WBJEE 2024 Counselling

Candidates also need to complete choice-filling process, along with the WBJEE 2024 counselling registration. After the completion of the choice-filling process, the exam authority will separately announce the WBJEE seat allotment result 2024 for each round. The counseling process for WBJEE 2024 will involve registration, choice filling, and payment of counseling fees.

WBJEE counselling 2024 is expected to conducted in three rounds. Students who have  passed the JEE Main examination will also have the opportunity to take part in the WBJEE 2024 counseling process. Seats will be assigned in WBJEE according to the candidates merit, chosen preferences, and the availability of seats.

WBJEE Counselling 2024: Key Points For JEE Main and Architecture seats

  1. The WBJEEB has scheduled the WBJEE 2024 counselling for JEE Main and architecture seats to be carried out as a centralized online process.
  2. Only the courses mentioned in the WBJEE seat matrix published by the authorities will be considered for WBJEE counselling.
  3. To take part in WBJEE counseling in 2024, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria and have obtained a rank in either WBJEE or JEE Main 2024.
  4. The counselling process for WHJEE 2024 is scheduled to consist of three rounds: allotment, up-gradation, and mop-up.
  5. The fee for WBJEE counselling registration in 2024 has not been announced.

WBJEE Counselling 2024 Process

Candidates should have knowledge of the West Bengal JEE 2024 counselling process. To register, please follow the steps provided.

  • Step 1 - WBJEE Registration: Candidates have to register for WBJEE counselling on its official website, wbjeeb.nic.in. It is necessary for all candidates to check the information provided, as it will not be possible to make any changes once it has been submitted. After the last date no registrations will be accepted  for WBJEE counselling 2024. By following  steps below, candidates can complete the registration process for WBJEE 2024 counseling.
    1. Visit the WBJEE Counselling 2024 official website.
    2. Click on the WBJEE counselling registration link.
    3. Candidates will have to click on “New Candidate Registration”. Option to register through WBJEE or JEE Main or both will be provided to the candidates.
    4. Those candidates who opt to register through WBJEE 2024 will have to provide their respective application number, roll number, name and date of birth.
    5. JEE Main 2024 candidates will also have to enter their respective application number, roll number, name and date of birth.
    6. If both channels have been opted for, the candidate can enter the details of both examinations.
    7. Click on Submit.
  • Step 2 - Counselling Fee: After registration, Candidates will have to pay the counseling fee for Admission in WBJEE 2024. The fee can be paid by using of Debit card, Credit card or through Net banking. There are no refunds provided for the counseling fee.
  • Step 3 - Filling and Locking of Choices: The registered candidates who want to be part of the WBJEE seat allotment, they will have to fill in their preference of colleges and courses. These selections must be made in their preference order. Editing and locking of the selected choices must be completed before the specified final date. If candidates fail to lock their choices before the final date, the system will automatically lock the choices. Take a printout of the filled  choices for future reference.
  • Step 4 - Seat Allotment: The seats will be allotted to registered students by the authorities based on their merit, selected preferences, and seat availability during the online, centralized WBJEE counseling process. Three rounds of seat allotment will be conducted by the authorities. Students can check their WBJEEE 2024 allotment status by logging in with their credentials and can download the results.
  • Step 5 - Document Verification: Candidates who will be allotted seats through WBJEE counselling 2024 will have to report to their respective reporting centres and get their documents verified. The required fee must also be paid by the candidates.
    1. WBJEE result 2024 or rank card.
    2. WBJEE 2024 provisional allotment letter.
    3. Confirmation page of WBJEE 2024.
    4. Admit card or certificate of 10th standard (or equivalent) examination for name and age verification.
    5. 10th standard (or equivalent) mark sheet for English subject mark verification.
    6. Caste certificate (for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates).
    7. Physically challenged certificate for PwD category candidates.
    8. Income certificate (if applicable).
    9. Domicile certificate (if applicable).
    10. JEE Main 2024 result (if applicable).
    11. ‘Yes Upgradation’ or ‘No Upgradation’ option form.

  • Step 6 - Reporting to Institute: The candidates must report to institute they have  assigned for admission confirmation. They are required to provide the provisional allotment letter and also bring both original and photocopies of their documents.

WBJEE Counselling 2024 - Mop-Up Round

After the conclusion of WBJEE counselling rounds 1 and 2, the mop-up round for WBJEE is set to be conducted. Candidates must complete the online registration process to take part in the mop-up round of WBJEE 2024. A registration fee is mandatory for all new candidates. Students must confirm their seat and submit the acceptance fee before the deadline.

Eligibility Criteria for WBJEE Mop-Up Round

  • Students who did not enroll in advance for the WBJEE Counselling 2024.
  • Students who have been assigned seats, paid the seat acceptance fees for rounds 1 and 2 but have not taken admission
  • Students who did not receive seats in round 1 or round 2.
  • All the registered candidates except for those who have withdrawn and left the e-counselling process.
