IIST B.Tech Admission 2024: Spot Admission(Started), Eligibility Criteria, Seat Allotment, and Essential Information

The link for spot admission registration for IIST 2024 B.Tech admission has been activated by IIST on July 10,  at iist.ac.in. Only those candidates who are on the waitlist are eligible to apply for IIST BTech spot admission 2024. To complete the spot admission process, candidates must log in using their IIST registration number and password. The spot admission round at IIST will start on July 13, 2024. The final round for seat allocation and acceptance process was completed by the institute on July 7. Candidates can check their seat allotment results on official website.

For admission, candidates must have qualified for the JEE Advanced exam and should have completed IIST registration before last date. There is no IIST entrance exam for admission. The authority closed the application process and branch modification on June 14 and 16, respectively. The seat allocation for IIST admission was conducted over 10 rounds, from June 17 to July 7.

The officials have updated the link for the IIST B.Tech 2024 application form on the official website, iist.ac.in. The process of submitting the IIST B.Tech application form involves registering, completing the form, and fee payments.

Steps to fill IIST B.Tech Registration Process

• Step 1: Registration - Candidates participated in JEE Advanced 2024 and meeting all eligibility requirements should complete the registration process by providing  details such as name, mobile number, and more. Candidates who successfully register will obtain an IIST Registration Number and will need to set up a password. Candidates must submit a scanned image of their photograph.
• Step 2: Fees Payment - After registration, candidates are required to submit the registration fee for IIST B.Tech 2024. Registration fee can be paid in online by using credit/debit card or internet banking. Candidates must download the payment receipt of future reference.

IIST B.Tech Seat Allotment 2024

• The detailed schedule for the seat allotment and acceptance rounds of IIST B.Tech has been officially announced by the authorities.
• The allocation of IIST B.Tech seats will be based on the available vacancies and the merit order of candidates preferences.
• Candidates who accepts seat allotment for IIST B.Tech will need to select the Freeze option and proceed to confirm their seat.
• Candidates who decide to Freeze their selection will no longer be considered for their higher preferences, if any
• Candidates who want to secure their allotted seat while also being considered for their preferred choices must opt for the Slide option and proceed to confirm seat acceptance.

IIST B.Tech Seat Acceptance 2024

Candidates who chose either the Freeze or Slide options in an IIST B.Tech seat allocation round had to confirm their seat. The First Semester Fee of INR 34000 must be paid by candidates before last date through online mode. Charges for Hostel and Dining, amounting to INR 14400, will be collected upon arrival at IIST. The candidates must upload the scanned documents as specified below.

Upon successful document upload, a temporary admit card will be created for candidates. They can download their admit card by log in to candidate portal. It is important for candidates to carry this admit card during joining at IIST.
