CAT 2023 Exam: Last week of July; IIM notification includes syllabus, eligibility

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) plans to hold the Common Admission Test (CAT 2023) to select candidates for various management programs offered by IIMs. Detailed information regarding the CAT exam date, notification, syllabus, and eligibility criteria will be announced soon on the official website, iimcat.ac.in.

The CAT score for 2023 will be used for MBA admissions in 20 IIMs. Additionally, other prestigious institutions such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), MDI Gurugram, SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Faculty of Management Studies (FMS)

Goa Institute of Management (GIM), among others, will also consider the CAT 2023 score for admission into their management courses.

The scheduled date for the CAT 2023 examination

The CAT exam, conducted by IIM, has traditionally taken place on the final Sunday of November for several years. Therefore, it is anticipated that the IIM CAT exam for the year 2023 will occur on November 26, following the same pattern. In the previous year, the exam took place on November 27.

The CAT syllabus for 2023 comprises three sections: verbal ability and reading comprehension (VARC), data interpretation and logical reasoning (DILR), and quantitative aptitude (QA). The official website will provide a comprehensive CAT syllabus PDF, along with other essential information. In terms of CAT 2023 notification, IIM is expected to release it in the last week of July, and registration will commence in the first week of August.

The examination will be held online in three sessions at approximately 300 exam centers nationwide.
